Finally Together is called Noa The Game now

We’ve changed our name. Finally Together is now Noa The Game, and everything we do lives at noathegame.com.
Here’s what that means if you run a company or a team.
I built the method behind Noa inside my own company, ENV Media, in the fall of 2020. We were spread across nine time zones, and I needed something that held us together as people, not just as colleagues in a calendar. Two years later the company had grown tenfold, at 85 percent margin, and no one had resigned.
Was it the app that did all of that? No, of course not on its own. But it was what made everyone in the company, from 25 to 50 years old and across every culture we had, build one habit at a time and watch each other do it.
Here’s how it works. Everyone picks a habit, their own, nobody else’s. One week at a time. You report every day, yes or no, and others in the group see it. At the end of the week you reflect together. That’s the whole mechanic. It takes thirty seconds to try and it needs no implementation project.
It’s a game. I come from the gaming industry and have built games for ten years. If people who would never seek out a routine are going to build one anyway, it has to be playful. That’s the precondition, not the packaging.
And I play too. I’m the first user, and I report my no’s just like everyone else.
What doesn’t change
The method is the same. The company is still called Finally Together, that’s the legal name. And the people behind it are the same people.
What does change
Everything we say outward is Noa The Game. The talks, the workshops and the game are at noathegame.com.
And then the name
Noa is a neuron. The character existed long before the app. My mother and I sewed a neuron out of fabric for a dear friend’s baby shower, and since the baby was a girl we called her Nora the Neuron. Then we wrote children’s books about her.
The neuron stayed with me as an insight: a habit is something physical that gets built in the brain, connection by connection. When the tool became a game, the game was named after the character.
